SaferVPN – Free Privacy Protection and Website Unblocking
Gaining review points for its simplicity and stability, SaferVPN is one that deserves some accolade.
On its server distribution, SaferVPN boasts a server count of over 400 spread out over 30 countries. Also, servers are available in relatively exotic locations such as Austrailia South Africa, New Zealand, and South America. The service is run by an Israel-based security company.
Similar to VPN.AC, SaferVPN allows you select the encryption mode you desire, with support for OpenVPN, IKEv2, L2TP/IPsec, or PPTP.
Like most of the other VPNs, this provider offers graduated pricing beginning with a $4.99 Basic plan, the $7.50 Premium plan, and a ‘Small Business plan’ that costs $16.67 monthly. While the basic plan allows only one connected device at a particular time, the premium plan bumps your allowance to 3 devices. The Small Business plan, on the other hand, allows you connect unlimited devices. The VPN provider accepts a wide variety of payment methods including Alipay and Bitcoin.
Any user can use the VPN for free with a 500MB bandwidth restriction, while the premium plans offer unlimited bandwidth. SaferVPN offers a 24-hour trial period as well as a two weeks money back guarantee.
The VPN service is available as an extension for Chrome as well as a standalone client for Windows and Mac. Impressively, mobile users are also cared for with apps for Android and iOS.
How it Works
With servers in 30 countries and availability on multiple platforms, SaferVPN provides one of the most robust VPN services available. As you would expect the extension is a breeze to use. The interface features the on switch as well as a drop-down list to select your server location.

As is the custom on our VPN tests, we tested SaferVPN for speed and found quite exciting results. Using the US proxy servers, we got internet speed results that were almost identical to when we used no VPN.
We tested for DNS and location leaks, and the extension came out solid. However, the infamous WebRTC Bug is unfortunately still unpatched.
Similarly, their servers worked quite well for peer to peer connection and with streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu.
SaferVPN is a great VPN that puts up an impressive performance. Its strongest points include servers in multiple locations, ease of use, and impressive speeds.
